Child hospital in Auburn hospitalized after 2 children are hospitalized

A child hospital in an Auburn suburb was hospitalized Monday after two children were hospitalized for suspected cases of Ebola, the local health department said.

The facility, located in the city of Mount Auburn, was placed on lockdown following the discovery of the first case, a boy aged 3 and a girl aged 2, the Mount Auburn Police Department said.

Mount Auburn Hospital is located about 50 miles (80 kilometers) east of Cincinnati.

The hospital, which is part of the University of Cincinnati Health System, serves about 5,000 children annually, and provides treatment to adults with chronic health conditions.
