Posted November 30, 2018 06:08:40A game in the Premier League has been postponed until January 3 due to the ongoing flu outbreak in Europe, and a number of major football clubs are considering moving games to other countries in the region.
According to Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, the move is being discussed by Milan, Inter and Roma.
The move is the first step in the process of moving the next two games from Europe to North America.
The Serie A leaders have already announced the postponement of the derby between Napoli and Fiorentina at the San Siro on December 7 and the second leg of the Champions League quarter-final against Juventus on January 1.
Meanwhile, the Italian Football Federation is also weighing up the move, saying that they have made a decision to delay the game between Udinese and Parma in the Europa League quarterfinals.
The decision comes as Italy has suffered a series of severe flu outbreaks, with over 40 people diagnosed with the virus and more than 500 hospitalized.
