When a baby dies in a nursing home

A Texas woman is in the hospital after her baby died at a nursing facility.

A nursing home in Florida is on the hook for the funeral expenses of a woman who died there after contracting Ebola.

According to ABC News, the woman, who has not been identified, had recently returned to the nursing home where she was caring for her newborn daughter.

She died in the facility in February, the ABC reported.

She was reportedly in her 40s.

The nursing home’s chief medical officer said the hospital was unaware of the woman’s illness.ABC News reported that the nursing facility was not involved in the case, but said the nursing homes nursing staff and staff at the facility are being placed on administrative leave.ABC news reported that in January, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommended that nursing homes stop treating their patients with respiratory pathogens.ABC reported that one nursing home said it was working to provide appropriate care for the woman.

A spokesperson for the Texas nursing home declined to comment.
